Nato nel 1924 a Potsdam, New York, USA, Frank Chase era il figlio dello sceneggiatore Borden Chase e fratello del ballerino e cantante Barrie Chase.
Tra i film da lui interpretati ricordiamo Il terrore sul mondo (The Creature Walks Among Us, 1956), Beginning of the End e Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
È morto a Los Angeles, California, nel 2004, all'età di 81 anni.
